Jayahari KM is a former consultant with WRI India’s Sustainable Landscapes and Restoration programme. He anchors development of GIS based platforms and tools to support protection and restoration of forests and landscapes. He has over sixteen years of experience in conceptualizing and implementing natural resource management programmes in different regions in India including the Western Ghats, Eastern Himalayas and Western Indian Semi-Arid regions. The responsibilities he has handled in his career spans from programme implementation to directorial responsibilities. Jayahari has a PhD in forestry from the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India. He combines strong technical skills with programme management and interaction with diverse partners including government agencies, civil society organizations, local communities, donors and funders.
